Quality Time

I had some lovely quality time with Munchie this evening. While everyone else was off doing other things, I sat down on the rug with him. I got his brush out to brush his fur, half expecting him to hop away into the corner out of reach, but after having a good sniff of the brush and rubbing his chin on it to show that it belonged to him now whether I liked it or not, he snuggled down ready to be brushed. He loved it and didn't move at all until I took a photo.

Little Things...

Sometimes, it's just the little things Munchie does that make us smile or laugh. I've been taking a few video clips of Munchie just going about his daily bunny business and it just can't fail to put a smile on your face...

Munchie often likes to chill out on the edge of the rug. We just can't help saying, "Awww," when he does this...

He is very curious about anything new on 'his' rug. He likes to have a good sniff and maybe a nibble. We had to move the balloon once he decided to nibble...

There is a small patch at the edge of the rug where Munchie likes to pull at it. He always goes back to the same spot. Although we tell him off, we have to laugh at him, because he's so cheeky...

Munchie spends a lot of time cleaning himself. I can't believe he can reach around to lick his own back...

He likes the toy dog (called 'Sub-woofer' - don't ask!) which sits by the magazine rack. He will often sit licking it for a long time. He also likes to 'stand up' and poke around in the magazine rack. I often come back into the room to find magazines on the floor after I have just put them away. Many of our magazines and books have bits missing from the corners where he's chewed on them...

This one is my favourite. If he did this all the time, I just would not get anything done. He certainly is a distraction...

He loves being stroked. Sometimes he has come up and pushed his head under Chris's hand while he's been asleep on the sofa with his hand hanging down...

We spend a lot of our time just watching him and saying, "Aww, look at what Munchie's doing," even though it's something he's done so many times before. We would probably get a lot more done if we didn't have him, but we wouldn't be without him.

House Bunny

Munchie is now a house bunny. When he first came to us, he was a very territorial little bunny. He would attack the vacuum cleaner and try to nip us if we cleaned his cage out. He sprayed a lot on the things he considered to belong to him, which included me! So, we took some advice and decided that he should be neutered. This had an almost immediate effect. He was calmer and has not nipped or sprayed since.

After a couple of weeks of being in the living room, while we got to know him and him us, we set his indoor hutch up in the conservatory. He had the run of the conservatory and loved it. We bought an extra radiator so that he wouldn't get too cold in the winter, as his breed are susceptible to high and low temperatures.

Here are a few photo's we've taken since we've had him...

These were taken on the day he came home...
